Come "play in the streets" on Saturday, October 19!

Back for its third year, the Grand Junction Community Streets celebration will temporarily close one half mile of 10th Street (Main to Belford) for a car-free, family-friendly street festival. This year, you can expect even more FREE entertainment for all ages—live music, sports, games, activities, and food trucks. We encourage everyone
to come out and enjoy walking, riding, and playing in your city streets.

These types of urban street parties are popping up across the nation with over 100 cities now hosting an open street event like this. These events aim to show participants that traveling by bike, foot, scooter, and other car-free transportation modes can be comfortable, easy, and a healthy alternative to driving. This event also promotes community pride, local organizations, air quality, and physical activity, while encouraging the use of streets as a
public space for the community to gather and share.

Hosted by the City of Grand Junction's Urban Trails Committee.
